  • The floors have arrived!

    The cabinets and floors got delivered, exterior paint has started, and bathroom work continues. Also, we got an extension on our completion date since next week is clearly not gonna happen.

  • Master Bathroom

    Snow, windows, insurance woes, and the master bathroom plan.

  • Many Updates

    So since we last gave you and update, we’ve gotten insulation, drywall, doors, trim, some windows, siding some paint, just a few things that make the house feel more like a house.

    We’ve had more slow but steady progress, made some decisions about the fireplace, and I’m sharing our guest bath design choices.

    Lots of plumbing and electrical work done this week.

  • The Last Few Weeks

    In the last few weeks, there’s been work on the porch, restoring the windows, meeting with the electrician and plumber, and installing the visible portions of the ventilation system.

  • Vandalism, part 1

    More work on the crawlspace and framing the back half of the roof and ceiling. The contractor is finally going to get paid. And we got our first and hopefully last case of vandalism.

  • Framing

    Over the last couple of weeks, we transitioned from demolition to construction. Most of the framing is done but we still don’t have a roof on the back half of the downtown luxury slum.
