The Start of a Kitchen
The kitchen is starting to take shape with the installation of cabinet frames, painting of cabinet doors, and measuring for the countertops. More bathroom tile work got done, we finished some beautiful ceiling beams, added window fixtures and door levers, and got a cement pad poured for the air-conditioning unit. Advertisement
The floors have arrived!
The cabinets and floors got delivered, exterior paint has started, and bathroom work continues. Also, we got an extension on our completion date since next week is clearly not gonna happen.
Snow, windows, insurance woes, and the master bathroom plan.
So since we last gave you and update, we’ve gotten insulation, drywall, doors, trim, some windows, siding some paint, just a few things that make the house feel more like a house.
We’ve had more slow but steady progress, made some decisions about the fireplace, and I’m sharing our guest bath design choices.
We really need help designing our fireplace. Really. Please.
Plumbing and Electrical
Lots of plumbing and electrical work done this week.
The Last Few Weeks
In the last few weeks, there’s been work on the porch, restoring the windows, meeting with the electrician and plumber, and installing the visible portions of the ventilation system.
Vandalism, part 1
More work on the crawlspace and framing the back half of the roof and ceiling. The contractor is finally going to get paid. And we got our first and hopefully last case of vandalism.
